13/11/2014· I am rebuilding my 4xv engine, and have checked all 4 big end bearing clearances and 5 crank mains. When checking what the spec is in my Haynes manual and yamaha service manual , both "allowable" specs for big ends and mains are different! Haynes. Big ends 0.032 to 0.056mm. Mains 0.029 to 0.053mm. Yamaha manual (online) Big ends 0.016 to 0.040mm.
